Emergency Release Date Update: Kangana Ranaut Wrote an Emotional Message on the Film Emergency not being Released

The path to the release of the film 'Emergency,' based on the backdrop of the Emergency imposed in India, doesn't seem clear yet. The film is stuck due to issues with the censor certificate. In this movie, actress Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Sikh organizations allege that the film portrays a negative image of Sikhs.

Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency,' which was set to release on September 6, is delayed due to the censor certificate. The production company approached the Bombay High Court, but it did not receive a favorable outcome. In several parts of the country, Sikh organizations are protesting against Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency.'

A petition has also been filed against the film in the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Now, the release of the film has been postponed. BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut made this announcement today, i.e., Friday. According to Kangana, the delay in the film's release is due to the pending certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Kangana said, 'A new date will be announced soon'
Kangana Ranaut wrote on her official X (formerly Twitter) account that, with a heavy heart, she announces that her directorial film "Emergency" has been postponed. They are still waiting for certification from the censor board. A new release date will be announced soon. She thanked the audience for their understanding and patience.

The Petition by the Sikh Community Against the Film
Kangana Ranaut's film has not yet received a censor certificate. The film's producer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, requesting the censor board to issue the certificate immediately. However, the High Court refused to issue immediate instructions, as the matter is also pending in the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The Bombay High Court has asked the censor board to decide on all objections by August 18. The Sikh community has challenged the film in the Madhya Pradesh High Court and has raised objections against the movie and its trailer.
