Jasmeet Bhamra works as a Detective Sergeant in the UK. Bhamra has lost her son, and the pain of this loss is unbearable for her. Meanwhile, she is assigned to solve the case of the disappearance and death of a child named Ishpreet Kohli. How is the film 'The Buckingham Murders'?

For parents, their children are the most precious gift in the world. The pain of losing a child can only be deeply understood by someone who has experienced it. You and I can only offer comfort and share the burden of that pain. But life doesn’t stop for anyone. Your work still needs you. Something similar is happening with Kareena Kapoor Khan's character, Jasmeet Bhamra, also known as Jaz, in the film 'The Buckingham Murders'.

Film Story:

Jasmeet Bhamra works as a detective sergeant in the UK. Bhamra has lost her young son in a shooting incident, and she is unable to cope with the pain. After the culprit is punished, she transfers herself to Buckinghamshire. Upon joining her new duty, she is handed the case of a missing teenager. When Bhamra refuses to take the case, her boss tells her, "I know what happened to you, but work is work, and you must do it." The case involves a missing Sikh boy named Ishpreet Kohli. During the investigation, Ishpreet is found dead by the police and Bhamra’s team. Now, Bhamra must find out how Ishpreet died, who killed him, and why. As she delves into the mystery of Ishpreet's death, she will encounter things that will shock her. Meanwhile, she must also deal with the grief of losing her own son. Can Jasmeet do it?

Kareena’s Brilliant Performance

Kareena Kapoor Khan has beautifully portrayed her character, Jasmeet Bhamra. The film shows Kareena in a highly emotional role, something we might not have seen before. The pain in her heart is clearly reflected on her face. She also showcases her talent, anger, and intellect well in the film. Kareena shines in every frame.

She is accompanied by Ranveer Brar. Previously seen in the 'Modern Love' Mumbai series, Ranveer has done an excellent job in 'The Buckingham Murders.' His performance is much improved. He plays Daljeet Kohli, a father broken after losing his son Ishpreet. Daljeet is a furious man with some secrets buried deep inside him. Daljeet’s wife, Preeti Kohli, is played by Prableen Sandhu, whose work is outstanding. Apart from these actors, the film includes foreign stars such as Keith Allen, Ash Tandon, Kapil Redeker, Jonathan Netti, and Adwoa Akoto, among others. Everyone has done justice to their characters.

Hansal’s Direction

Director Hansal Mehta has crafted 'The Buckingham Murders' with great skill. The story, written by Aseem Arora, Raghav Raj Kakkar, and Kashyap Kapoor, is both intriguing and suspenseful, and Hansal has translated it well onto the screen. The film takes you through several ups and downs, keeping you engaged from start to finish. You never feel like leaving your seat or getting bored. Its editing and pace are also good. However, its music is not particularly remarkable. The songs do not evoke any feelings and can even be slightly irritating.
