Akshay Kumar's multi-starrer 'Khel Khel Mein' and John Abraham-Sharvari Wagh's 'Veda' have both turned out to be disasters at the box office, but 'Khel Khel Mein' has surprised everyone in its third weekend. However, the situation for 'Veda' is very bad. Both films are set to start their countdown from Monday.
Even after 18 days at the box office, 'Stree 2' continues to earn bumper collections, while 'Khel Khel Mein' surprised everyone with its third weekend earnings. Although Akshay Kumar's multi-starrer film has already been declared a disaster, it shocked everyone by earning over ₹3 crore from Friday to Sunday during the weekend. This is especially surprising considering that John Abraham's 'Vedaa', released alongside it, managed to earn only ₹72 lakhs in its third weekend. 'Khel Khel Mein' had also been seeing a decline in earnings since the previous Monday, but it managed to recover over the weekend.
Vedaa Earned just ₹35 lakhs on its 18th day
On the other hand, there is no improvement in the situation for John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh's 'Vedaa'. It earned a total of ₹72 lakhs in its third weekend, with Sunday's earnings being only ₹35 lakhs. Directed by Nikhil Advani, this film has earned a total of just ₹21.47 crores, whereas its budget is ₹60 crores.
'Vedaa' Worldwide Collection
Leaving aside Delhi-NCR, neither 'Khel Khel Mein' nor 'Veda' has received much response from any mass circuits in the country. The films have not managed to earn from other centers, nor have they received much love from the audience. As a result, both films have proven to be disasters. Not only in India but also abroad, the situation is the same. 'Khel Khel Mein' has grossed only ₹43.50 crores worldwide in 18 days, while 'Veda' has grossed ₹28.75 crores worldwide.
