Review

Murderbaad is a strong thriller with a good mix of mystery and emotion. Directed and written by Arnab Chatterjee, the movie keeps you involved from start to finish. It starts slow, but once the murders begin, the pace picks up quickly. The direction is sharp and focused. Arnab Chatterjee has made sure the story is tight and filled with suspense.

The acting in Murderbaad is very good. Nakul Roshan Sahdev as Inspector Vikram delivers a strong and emotional performance. He shows the pain of a man trying to fight crime while dealing with his own past. Kanikka Kapur as Maya plays her part well and supports the main story without taking away the focus. Sharib Hashmi and Manish Chaudhari play interesting characters that add depth to the film. Veteran actors like Amole Gupte and Anjan Srivastav also shine in their roles.

The background music by Ujjwal Roy Chaudhary is intense and matches the mood of the film. It builds tension in the right scenes and never feels too loud. The cinematography captures the dark tone of the story, with streets, homes, and police stations all shown in a very realistic way.

The best part of Murderbaad is its story. Unlike some thrillers that become confusing, this one stays clear but still surprises the viewer. The movie gives time to each character, and their connection to the case makes sense in the end. The screenplay is clever, and the final twist is something viewers won’t expect.

Some slow scenes in the beginning could have been shorter. Also, a few songs feel like they were added just to fill time. But these small things do not ruin the movie.

If you liked movies like Costao or Detective Sherdil, then Murderbaad will also impress you. It is more serious and intense but still enjoyable.

The film reminds us of Raid 2 in its strong storytelling, but with a more personal touch. You can also compare its dark theme to Bad Influence, though Murderbaad is more grounded.

We give Murderbaad 3.5 out of 5 stars. It is a good watch for those who love thrillers and crime stories. Not perfect, but very gripping and satisfying.
